The Merano Grand Prix is one of Europe’s most important equestrian events, held this year for the 87th time. Traditionally, this event also turns the spotlight to another top-class occasion, the Merano WineFestival. A foretaste of what follows in November.

Kalter´s Wine Days

Rarely is a wine region as diverse as the area surrounding Lake Caldaro. Centuries-old winemaking traditions and the richness of the terroir make for exciting final products. During the tasting on the market square in Kaltern, local winemakers offer around 150 wines for tasting—white, rosé, or red, ranging from the classic Kalterersee to ambitious single-vineyard wines.
